Hi I am trying to run Millionverifier through html API in Clay and I am getting an error that says “IP address blocked”. This same setup has been working for months normally and sometimes works fine and sometimes returns an error? I check with Millionverifier support and they said the error is on Clay’s end. Can someone help me with troubleshooting?
The "IP address blocked" error from MillionVerifier suggests their service is blocking requests from our IP addresses. Since this is intermittent and MillionVerifier confirmed the issue is on our end, try these troubleshooting steps:
First, clear your browser cache and refresh the view to resolve error messages.
For HTTP API troubleshooting, could you copy and paste your JSON configuration from the HTTP API setup? This will help identify any formatting issues that might be contributing to the problem.
You can also click into the specific error cell to see if there are additional error details beyond what's shown in your screenshot.
It’s not a formatting issue because it sometimes works and sometimes returns an error in the same column
This intermittent IP blocking issue with MillionVerifier is frustrating since it's affecting your workflow unpredictably. Since MillionVerifier confirmed it's on our end and you're getting mixed results in the same column, this points to our infrastructure rotating through different IP addresses - some blocked by MillionVerifier, others not.
Can you share a link to the specific table where this is happening? That'll help us investigate which IP ranges might be getting blocked.
Thanks for the table link. This intermittent IP blocking is definitely frustrating when it's disrupting your workflow randomly.
Since MillionVerifier confirmed it's on our end and you're seeing mixed results, try adding rate limiting to your HTTP API column. Set a Request Limit (like 10-20 requests) with a Duration of 60000ms (1 minute) in your HTTP API settings. This can help prevent hitting their IP blocking thresholds by spacing out requests.
Can you check if there's any pattern to when the blocking happens - like after a certain number of successful requests in a row?
If you still need help resolving the intermittent IP blocking issue, I’m here to assist. Would you like to share more details about the patterns you’ve noticed or any other troubleshooting steps you’ve tried?
I don’t think it’s a request limit either because I can run one row and sometimes get error or sometimes get a result. Can you please give me human support
I'm sorry for the trouble you're experiencing. I'll connect you to a human agent who can assist you further.

Hey Nicholas - thank you for reaching out. This is a known issue between Clay and Million Verifier. However, if you re-run the rows with the errors, it should eventually work.
