Hi. I paused a clay sequencer campaign and made changes and resumed. It created a new events table but I rather it not be. It did not do that for another campaign. Please advise
When you launch a campaign, Clay automatically creates a campaign events table if you haven't set up custom webhooks in the Advanced section. [1]
The behavior you're experiencing - where pausing and resuming created a new events table - suggests the system treated your resumed campaign as a new launch. This can happen when certain campaign settings are modified during the pause.
To avoid new events tables being created, set up custom webhooks in the Advanced section of your campaign settings before launching. This prevents the automatic creation of campaign events tables.
Is that what you were looking for?
I didn't do custom web hooks or anything and the other events that did not get a new one made was the same. NOT what I was looking for
I'm sorry for the confusion and understand this is frustrating. I'll connect you to a human agent who can assist you further.

I don't want two separate events now. Please advise on merging and fixing
If this is where we are updating then I want my previous to be merge into here Previous: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/755383/workbooks/wb_0t3bvuaDEdyCP4cQTWG/tables/t_0t4gvwkgFmFQjvSM7wE/views/gv_0t4gvwkP963QhofNAZk
Please advise
Hey William- thanks for reaching out, and I apologize for your frustrations. Unfortunately, there's no way to merge the campaign tables at the moment, but I've forwarded this internally to the engineering team to the explore potentially doing this in the future. For some more context: When you launch a Clay sequencer campaign, all campaign settings become locked by design. This is an intentional behavior to maintain data integrity and analytics accuracy.
When you pause a campaign, you can only:
Edit message copy (the email text itself)
Temporarily stop emails from being sent
You cannot modify:
Campaign settings (general settings, HTML options, etc.)
The sequence structure itself (number of emails, timing)
Sender setup
Schedule settings
Other core configuration options
This is why it creates multiple campaign tables. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Alright thanks! Looking forward to it
Hey William-this has been resolved. Please let me know if you run into the same issue again. Appreciate you surfacing!
