Hi good day. I just want to ask if the feature for enriching companies has changed? Because usually when I have the website or linkedinURL, we do the waterfall enrichment to get the common information such as website, domain, employee count, location, HQ, founding date etc. Like all the data is being scraped in one place. But right now I couldn't do it. Did something changed? Please enlighten me.
The feature for enriching companies using waterfall enrichment in Clay hasn't changed. We still offer this functionality to gather common information about companies. Here's a quick overview of how it works: 1. Open the Enrichment Panel and search for the specific data point you want to enrich (e.g., "Funding Stage"). 2. You'll see a pre-arranged order of providers optimized for cost and coverage. 3. Select the input column (usually Company Domain). 4. Run a test on 10 rows first to see how it works. The waterfall process then moves through the sequence dynamically, stopping when it finds data or exhausts all providers. If you're having trouble, make sure you have the necessary "corner pieces" of data: company domain and social URL. These are crucial for successful enrichment. If you're still experiencing issues, could you provide more details about what specifically isn't working? This will help us troubleshoot further.
No
When I click add enrichment this is what I see
I click company profile
This is what I see
And when I click run
I only get the linkedinURL as result
No description column, website column, employee count column, founding year column, etc.
Whereas before I can do it all in one scrape. I'll just choose what data I need
Are things different now?
Does this mean it will cost us one credit for each information? Because before it's 1 credit per row and that already includes company website, domain, employee size, description etc.
Hey! I’m not exactly sure which previous version you’re referring to, but typically we’ve always had it set up like this: ** The initial Find Company search would return basic information like company name, domain, size range, and a few other core fields. ** If you wanted additional details like description, founding year, headquarters, or website, you’d enrich further by clicking into the company record and using additional enrichments. And yes, for the extra details you mentioned, it would cost additional credits. Some enrichments can return multiple data points together, but overall, it’s extra enrichments / credits, yes. Let me know if you want help picking the most efficient way to set it up!
