In "Write ti other table", there is "select a list from a column". What exactly is this and how does it work? I've been using the manual data field mapping so far. My goal: I have a "rough" company lookalike, run an ai-filter, and only want the records with a "true" in a result column to be written in a "clean" company lookalike table.
Thanks for this! Really appreciate your feedback, so I'm glad you took a moment to share it with us. I'm curious – could you let me know any specific use cases or workflows or challenges, where these updates would be especially helpful for you? I'll relay this to our product owners. Any additional context is welcome, so we can keep your situation in mind as we build out the roadmap.
We can't submit feature requests on your behalf, but you can share your feedback directly with our product team. The current write to table feature requires manual column mapping where you select specific columns from your source table and match them to corresponding columns in your destination table. For submitting feature requests or product feedback, you can click on "Talk to a person" to connect with our human support team who can help route your suggestion to the appropriate team. Would you like guidance on the most efficient way to set up your current column mappings while this feature doesn't exist yet?
can you put it on as a feature request? imo it makes totally sense
The documentation shows that you need to manually select and map the columns you want to copy from the source table to match them with the appropriate columns in the destination table. The process involves selecting specific columns you want to copy and matching them to corresponding columns in your destination table. There isn't a built-in "map all columns" option mentioned in our write to table feature. You'll need to add each column mapping individually during the setup process. Are you looking to transfer a large number of columns, or would you prefer to focus on mapping only the essential columns for your workflow?
Is there a way to just write/map "all columns"? It's tidous manually mapping them 😄
"Select a list from a column" in write to table is for list mapping - when cells contain lists of items that you want to map individually to rows in another table. For your use case (filtering records with "true" values), you want column mapping instead. Enter "/" to skip list selection, then map your columns directly. Use the "Only run if" setting to set conditions - this lets you control when the write runs based on specific data fields, like only writing records where your AI filter result equals "true". This will transfer only the filtered records to your clean company table.
