Best Practices for Sharing LinkedIn Links in Our Community
Folks, sharing some directives for people sharing links to their LinkedIn posts:
Please share a clear summary or potentially the entire contents of your post right here. If I derive value from your content here, I am more likely to click on the link and engage with it on LinkedIn.
Please hyperlink the links (Cmd+Shift+U) and spend a minute formatting your post just like you would on LinkedIn (you have more options here). Pasting links in the message body looks, well, sloppy.
I'd like you to understand that this is not a hard rule you must follow – but a friendly suggestion if you wish to stand out from the crowd. That said, ⚠️ link-dropping is against our guidelines ⚠️ so at the very least, you must include a short description of what your post is about (which most of you have been doing anyway).
Lastly, the same directives apply to content from any external website (and not just LinkedIn).
Good luck! ![]()
