I've got a list of 5000 companies and I would like to know the number of engineers at them. I can see this information in sales navigator, but I don't see anyway to filter for this in Clay. Does anyone know if there is a way to get this information in Clay? RESOLVED
Hey Brennan L., there's a 'Employee count by critiera' I believe that is what you are looking for?
Brennan L. you should try Find contact at company integratiojn as it would do two things for you:
Tell you the total count
Give you data on 10 profiles as well
yea Asher think that would work, it's just a lot of credits.
Rohan J. can you then count number of employees by company?
like total number of employee at company?
engineers
So in find people at company , if you select the function as engineering then it would show only total count for engineering one and upto 10 people data as well
and it just cost 1 credit per company
Brennan L. There's another way that's for free, but it might take some time and accuracy may not be the best:
Have the 5000 companies in one table.
Find people in those companies that have 'engineers' in their titles. (You might have to create multiple tables since you will have a large number, or I suggest you do 500 companies at one time)
Then, using the original companies table, to a multi-row lookup to the 'Find People' table, and match by domain name.
There, you can get an idea on how many engineers they have in that company. This is an alternative method that uses 0 credits, but 'Find People' function can often have outdated profiles so it might not be the most accurate.
Brennan L. Accuracy is definitely an issue though. From talking to others and my own experience, you might have 20% - 40% of people no wonder working at those companies 😕 So the first method I suggest is the best in terms of freshest data!
ok ty!
