What's everyone's favorite non-clay model to use with Claygent? Assuming you're using your own API key, what's delivering best cost/effectiveness these days?

yeah I actually agree that 5 mini is worse than 4.1 mini.

4o mini and 4.1 mini Edmund C. 5 is not worth the price and the quality is actually worse or equal to other models

totally depends on the objective and scale. i first attempt to nail precision and recall, and then once consistent, optimize for cost if doing at scale. claude writes the best. 4.1 mini is a great price point for reliable, bite size missions. if you’re going to one shot a large prompt, then you need a higher end model.

OpenAI + Anthropic depending on the task, OpenAI usually wins on cost/effectiveness for most Claygent runs

Research web based tasks. Why still using 4o when 5 is out?

Depends on the task and quantity of rows you’re running. For more complex tasks, 4o. For more basic tasks, 4o mini. When I don’t need internet access on the agent, even 4o runs super cheap since it’s only creating or modifying content.
