Hey everyone 👋 — I’m trying to see if something like this is possible in Clay. I’ve got a list of ~100 companies, and our product is relevant to specific departments (like transportation/logistics). Titles and org structures vary a lot by company, so I’d love to build a sort of department org chart for each company. The idea would be: feed in my company list → have Clay find all relevant job titles based on a few keywords → group those titles into a hierarchy (VP → Director → Manager → Analyst, etc.) → then use that structure to segment messaging by role. Has anyone tried something like this before, or have a rough framework for how to approach it in Clay?

Hey John, my 2 cents here:
Try to define which is your buyer: even if the product is relevant to the whole department of logistics probably just a few roles are your buyer persona — that is, if the decision maker/buyer persona is the VP/Head of, I'm pretty sure it is not the Analyst. So there's may be no need for organizational charts
Start finding the roles with a "loose" a broad search in Clay to see all possibles job titles that may apply and build later a selective list of titles to run the final search
Customize the copy to the company and lead, but do not worry too much about differentiating between VP and Director. If you still want to target the whole department, from Head/VP to Analyst, differentiate the messaging between decision maker's and non-decision makers, in order to create some product-awareness among the latter and to redirect you to the right people
Hey there John thanks for reaching out, Based off of past examples I've seen of other users, one common workflow I've seen is users will go and for each company they will just run individual searches for each specific job title they are looking for. So there would be a find people search for VPS another one for directors another for managers and so on. And that way from that point on if you were to add any other companies to your company table there it will automatically run through all the different searches you have so then that way they each will go be sent it to their own table and it will just be a matter of giving each table the their own message to work with
