Did you guys depreciate write to table? Why?

Hi Mathew,
Thanks for reaching out to support. Try using send to table, it is the same effect just new name!
When using send to table, what happens if I "send" from 5 different tables? Do I get 5 source columns in the destination table?
yes that will happen
Depreciating Write to table is fundamentally a mistake. These are two different enrichments that do different things. Write to table keeps the two tables decoupled. The destination table can receive data from ANYWHERE without caring where it came from. The user only needs to hook up the destination table's enrichments to a set of input columns and does not need to make changes when adding a new source table. Send to table fundamentally couples the two tables. The user now needs to hook up the destination table's enrichments to ALL source columns individually even if they send the same data. The user would likely have to manually set up merge columns for every source and update them every time you added a new source table. This would be miserable
Curious why it was deprecated? I also use Write to Table often for the same reason. A lot of my templates rely on it. Plus, Clay has a limit of 20 sources, which would apply to Send to Table. I have a "database" destination table which would have over 20 source tables and I've had no issues when using Write to Table
Hi Matthew, it will be back! We are working on some changes to it to improve the experience
Or am I blind in that respect?
Hey there! In a new table if you navigate to actions -> all enrichments -> templates, you should be able to find them!
We haven't heard back from you here, so we're going to go ahead and close this thread out.

Have a question thats not related to this thread? We recommend kicking off a new ticket in the support channel!
Yes, this works for single column enrichments but not for grouped templates e.g. this one
Hey there - have you saved the group as a template? For context, this is a capability that should be in the clay product and be recallable across tables
