I have had several problems importing data from a CSV over the last week. Most of the data imports correctly, but sometimes cells will be messed up. In the picture below you can see that there are websites and email addresses where there should be city and state information. Most cells import properly, but with over 12k rows, I cannot manually comb through all of the data to make sure it imports properly. I have verified the original CSV data source and everything is correct there
When dealing with CSV import issues, here's how you can troubleshoot and fix the data mismatches: 1. Start with a small test sample: ⢠Import just 10 rows of your data first ⢠This allows you to identify and fix any mapping or formatting issues before importing all 12,000+ rows 2. During the mapping stage: ⢠Review the column mappings carefully ⢠Modify column names to match Clay's format ⢠Delete any unnecessary columns ⢠Rearrange the order of your data to ensure proper alignment 3. After confirming the test import works correctly: ⢠Proceed with the full dataset import ⢠Use Clay's data cleaning and normalization tools to standardize the imported informationIf you continue experiencing issues after trying these steps, you may want to request human support for further assistance.
