What is the likelihood of GTM agencies hiring for professional who have both system building and Customer facing, closing deals abilities in real time. A GTM generalist you would like to have in a team. Is there any such requirements being seen at these agencies?

Hi folks, was documenting some GTM related work and got distracted to thinking actually about SALES as a philosophy and here is what I actually ended up with! Everybody sells. They just don't call it that. The techie who trades their skill for a paycheck made a sale. The manager who walked into a review meeting and made a case for their own promotion made a sale. The founder who convinced someone to join their team for no salary made a sale. Every single person is negotiating value exchange every single day, they just don't file it under the word sales. The real/core difference between a salesperson and everyone else is frequency of rejection. A salesperson hears no 40 times a week. Most people hear it twice a year and remember both times. That repetition doesn't build some special talent, it builds indifference to the word no. And that indifference is what looks like confidence from the outside. So the problem was never that you can't sell. You've been selling your whole life, you just didn't notice. The problem is you've never been desensitized to rejection, so you avoid the situations where it might happen. It's not a talent gap, it's an exposure gap. You don't need to learn how to sell. You need to learn how to hear no without flinching. That's the entire game.

Hi all, I am Sanjib and sharing some details about myself Location: India Company: Independent GTM Engineer, freelancing. Background: Spent most of my career in sales. Closed $4.5M ARR across B2B clients. Somewhere along the way I realized that finding the right customers was always harder than closing them. That led me into GTM engineering. Now I build the systems that find the customers, instead of just calling them. Most recently built an AI content engine using n8n, Supabase, and Sarvam AI that detects regulatory signals from PIB, RBI, SEBI, HackerNews, and Reddit, drafts LinkedIn posts against guardrails, and outputs a weekly content calendar. Also co-built a CRM and appointment automation system for a solar consultation business. 9-stage pipeline from lead to installation. Google Calendar sync, WhatsApp automation, role-based access. Clay Goals: Intermediate. Building enrichment tables with waterfall logic, AI columns, and scoring formulas. Working within the free tier currently.
