Introduction from John Terrone: Building Sales Automation and AI Tools at Promptly
Hey Clayngsters! My name is John Terrone, currently the Director of Growth Ops at Promptly. My background is predominately in Sales and for the past year I have been both the traditional "rev ops guy" and also the builder of anything that touches A.I. Currently, through a new team hub tool I've built, I'm tying together all of our sales tools so that we can stay hyper-focused on keeping the sales team "deal focused" (not CRM busy bees). At night, when I'm not spending time with my wife and 6 children, I'm building tools to help me go faster! I've been through 3 Clay Cohorts with Wedge coming soon (Excited)! I thought I was getting a grasp on Clay and now they're doing even more so it's time to reeducate myself. If you're just getting into Clay now, you might get to skip learning it the "hard way"- lucky. My tech stack (currently): Claude (Everything they have), Gemini (using CLI for large projects), pieces of OpenAI (for dictation), HubSpot (CRM), G-Suite, Netlify for hosting, Supabase/Firebase for backend, Antigravity on occassion (usually for quickly coded things like ROI calculators), Fireflies. If it has an API, I'm using it. If it has a CLI I'm using it. If it has an MCP, I'm trying to use it :). I live in Indiana, US and love the pace of GTM as I've always been a techy/constantly trying to figure out how to do things the fastest (and best) way possible. Nice to meet you all (in advance).
