Clay EXPERTS! Anyone know how I can NUMBER the occurances of a company domain within an email list. USE CASE - I don't want 25 contacts from Unilever, for example, getting hit with similar emails - so want each occurance numbered, so I can limit the numbers being sent to Instantly
To number occurrences of company domains in your email list, you can use our "Identify Email Type and Extract Company Domain from Email" action. Here's a step-by-step approach: 1. Use the action to extract company domains from your email list. 2. Use our "write to table" feature to create a new column for domain occurrences. 3. Apply a formula to count and number each domain occurrence. 4. Filter or sort based on these numbers to limit emails sent to each domain. For more specific domain-related actions, you could also use our Prospeo integration to find email addresses associated with domains. If you need further assistance with implementing this process, please ask to talk to a person for more detailed guidance.
Was that helpful?
I would create a formula to extract everything after @ in the email field. Then, use a lookup feature to count how many times the same domain is being used in the same columns. You get a JSON output that is easy to use/filter afterward.
