Understanding Google Maps Proximity Radius for Local Business Searches

Quick question. For the find local businesses using Google maps functionality, is there a way to get the proximity radius to give an updated reading of what the actual proximity radius is? For example, in my screenshots, you can see I have changed the radius of my search but the proximity radius reading is still the same.
