Optimize AI Runs for Multiple Identical Domains

·
·

If I have multiple domains which are the same, I don’t need the Ai to run multiple times, just once. How do I do this? I’m guessing this comes under “Only run if…”

To configure the AI in Clay to run only once for multiple identical domains, you can use conditional runs. Here's how to set it up: 1. Add a new enrichment for the domain-related task you want to perform. 2. Click on "Run Settings" and then "Conditional Run." 3. Use the AI to generate a formula that checks if the domain has already been processed. For example, you could create a condition that only runs the enrichment if a specific field (e.g., "domain_processed") is blank or false. This way, the AI will only run once for each unique domain, saving credits and optimizing your workflow. If you need more specific guidance, please provide details about the exact enrichment you're trying to set up, and I can offer more tailored advice.

To set up a conditional run in Clay to process each unique domain only once, follow these steps: 1. Add a new enrichment for your domain-related task. 2. Click on "Run Settings" for that enrichment. 3. Select "Conditional Run" or look for the "Only run if" box. 4. Click the "Use AI" button to generate a formula. 5. In plain language, ask the AI to create a condition that checks if the domain has been processed. For example, you could create a condition that only runs the enrichment if a specific field (e.g., "domain_processed") is blank or false. This ensures the AI runs only once for each unique domain, optimizing your workflow and saving credits.

To find the "Run Settings" option in Clay for setting up a conditional run: 1. Add a new enrichment column for your desired task. 2. In the enrichment side panel, look for the "Run Settings" section. 3. Click on "Run Settings" to access the conditional run options. 4. You'll see an "Only run if" box where you can set up your conditional formula. 5. Use the "Use AI" button to easily generate a formula in plain language. This allows you to control when the enrichment runs, optimizing your workflow and saving credits.

An alternative solution, maintain separate workbooks for companies, another for contacts. This enables you to enrich company data only once.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out! ☺️Here’s a step-by-step breakdown to avoid this: 1. Start with the Company – Use the "Find Company" action to identify companies that fit your target criteria. Here’s a guide to help. 2. Find Decision-Makers & Contacts – In the company table, click "Actions" > "Find people at these companies" to search for key contacts who match your ideal customer profile. Then, import these results into a new People table. This video walks you through the process. 3. Lookup Single row - In the people table, add the Lookup Single row integration to pull in enrichments from your company table into your people table. Here a guide. Following these steps will help you avoid spending Ai credits on the same domains. A more advanced step is to create a master database of companies. I go over it here.

...and I'd also check out the rest of the resources at http://clay.com/university – great hands-on use cases with video walkthroughs. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know! 😊 Have a great Friday, Daniel
