We're having very slow and patchy performance across our workspace currently, things like write to other table are not able to set up and configure as normal, and any operation is taking much longer than normal to complete.
Performance issues often occur when you have large tables or multiple actions running simultaneously. Try these solutions: 1. Perform a hard refresh: • Mac: Command (⌘) + Shift + R (Chrome/Firefox) or Option (⌥) + Command (⌘) + E (Safari) • Windows: Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R 2. For "write to table" issues specifically, try using the Force Run option in your table settings (this may take time for large tables). Complex workflows with linked tables typically experience more latency issues.

I too can confirm, I don't have a loom video though but the exact same thing is happening for us. I cannot edit or add a column. I cant even filter at the moment..... It has been like this periodically for the past couple of weeks!

I've logged in with a colleagues laptop, also didn't work, then tried another and it's worked first time. still not working on my laptop. Not sure what could be the cause of this?
I have cleared cache, reset routers, the only thing i havent tried is going buying a new laptop or ISP, or formatting my laptop...... Still nothing.

Bo (. LuisArturo It's now completely unusable for me today having been been really bad all week, and is delaying priority client work. - Really unusual issue, obvious differences in performance from one device to another. Things like:
not being able to select AI model,
not being able to create or save columns,
columns having weird AI naming,
dropdown selectors not showing any options
hide column not working
not accepting inputs for enrichment config
Really need some support / understanding of if this is a known issue being resolved and ideally when by.
It seems to be causing wider issues when clay tab open, loom chrome extension not opening so cant capture behavior etc.
god forbid i try to edit something in the tables. It has been really painful using clay this week
Hey there J thanks for reaching out, sorry for the delay here the team is investigating these at the moment, the do have a question on frequently all of the issues you listed occur and also what are the steps to recreate them.
There were daily issues that could last a few hours previously, but it's now constantly. We've noticed this doesn't always happen on every laptop, and seems to be worse during non-USA working hours. We don't know if this is just co-incidental. The laptops that are affected are new and have good processing power, no obvious device related reason etc. This seems to occur on any table when running data and doesn't seem to be related to the amount of processing going on. We've had one team member log in to an identical table and can edit with no issues, meanwhile I'm unable to add columns or save columns etc. When clay is open, chrome jumps to consuming 50%+ of total CPU bandwidth and 70%+ of memory as shown in the Task Manager, which never happened before last week and is happening like this on several devices.
just closing 1 Clay tab alone, CPU drops significantly, other stuff still open like Asana and PowerBI which isn't consuming much at all by comparison.
Several of our team can't even open the platform. it seems to be Mac users unaffected.
Plus one to Joels experience - I am finding it unusable today too. Single cell enrichments/Claygents are timing out. OpenAI (GPT 4o) enrichments seem to run fine.
I would appreciate jumping on a call with member of support team as soon as possible, it's not clear if this is being treated with the level of priority we need. The current state is really stalling progress internally across all clients, performance has been at an unacceptably poor level for a prolonged period now.
And I'm a HARD clay fan, but this is driving me nuts
You are not Harvey L. I am also going nuts, cant do anything at all. A the worst thing is, is that my colleague on his Macbook has no issues at all. A csv list I have been trying to upload for 2 hours took him 2mins to upload, right in front of me.

Bo (. ^ I've also noticed this and that it tends to pick up around 4pm to 5pm (GMT+2) Not sure if this is some kind of platform related automation to reduce cloud spend outside of US hours or something, but it does seem fairly robotic in when this is happening badly. It's obviously really unacceptable from our side if we're unable to use the platform during our primary working hours. May be a wild assumption, but saying in case it helps investigation.
It's fully unusable again today. have several team members literally unable to do anything.

To add to this, I started to get enough performance to continue running a table. A Zenrows column was set to not auto run, yet it was triggered to run. this shouldn't be possible and have no idea how much of our zenrows credits we may have spent doing this.
I've come back to the table having deleted the column, it appeared as if deletion process completed, the column is still there after refreshing

I've stopped the updates but will leave this so you can review it yourselves. this is far from ideal
Further to this, I have just noticed, from selecting to delete the column, it didn't delete the column but a table of over 20k leads I had enriched

I can say with 100% certainty this came from the column delete button from right clicking the column header
I've managed to restore that, so that's all good there, but this is really sketchy
crazy - a 120 row table that normally took me 10 minutes took me 45-1hr yesterday
I agree, I am also confused how such a major problem, that is obviously happening for many different people, is not being addressed with more urgency. Clay the past 4 days has been unbearable in EU tz and simply doesn't work but it has been slow and sluggish for about 2 weeks.
Not being able to use Clay has lead to me making NASA level dashboards for everything. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.
Agree - I believe all power users and hardcore Clay engineers are feeling this and are getting more and more frustrated by the day. I love Clay and live and die by it... but this drives me absolutely nuts.
Hey folks - George here, I head up the support team at Clay. Performance and reliability is a top priority for us right now and I'm making sure that we're escalating this through our engineering org. One ask from our side - performance issue can often mean a lot of different things (i.e. slowness in how long a page takes to load is a pretty different issue than a 3rd party integration taking a long time). I'm going to spend some time digging into the specifics of this thread, but the most helpful thing for us is to be very specific about what is slow/not performing the way you want. Was it a specific button you clicked where the response was slow? Was a page that took a long time to load? Was it a specific enrichments/column where the runs were slow? Any specifics we can get are helpful, and loom videos that demonstrate this are too. Thanks George, as shared it is affecting a playform wide variety of basic functionality, plus load times for any action within a table. things not working such as clicking to add an enrichment, to cells not appearing, to settings not being saved, extremely long wait times for native clay enrichments and process like editing config or settings, to auto run logic being turned off not preventing auto runs, to column deletion inadvertently deleting whole tables. It is basically unusable because all of these issues are simaultaneous and constant. I've booked a slot to discuss to hopefully add any context that can help. As shared above i cant get a screen recording as when clay tab is open the processing consumption jumps to a level where loom does not work propely alongside it having tried.
In short Issues begin when opening any table, and basically any action you can think of and any native clay enrichment is very slow or does not work, or will not save or allow editing within a table. This coincides with big jumps in cpu consumption for the browser when using clay as shown in task manager. The issues fluctuate in cumulation and severity throughout the day, and whilst there are periods where some actions can be executed the majority of the time it is so bad the platform is unusable. The team have noticed this general reduction in performance can improve outside of our normal working hours which is evening through to early morning CET. Ive noticed this myself, such as first 30 mins of day are ok, but then performance drops off a cliff.

I am getting this error today when trying to upload 11k list, even though i deleted old data yesterday and today, so there should be enough available rows to be able to upload the list

Teodora do you know how much data you're deleting when you delete it? Also, do you have any workflows (webhooks or scheduled runs) that may be pulling in more data in the background? We don't see a lot of people running into our workspace limit but we should be able to get you unblocked here.
For the CSV issue - did you see any specific error messages? What gave you an indication that you couldn't import it.
For the screen you were on for 5 minutes - thats definitely not good and I'm going to work to see if I can recreate the issue. Do you have the table link from that screenshot so we can look into it? My hunch is its tied to the error icon i'm seeing next to "Niche".

George D. the workspace limit has been resolved today, although i wasn't deleting additional data. It seems like clay needed over 24 hours to process the deletion data request. However the performance is still bad , slow and buggy, when it comes to importing, exporting data and other day to day activities inside clay tables. This clay performance is affecting the whole team for the past 2 weeks and we are behind on our service. There is considerable drop in the performance and I cannot timely execute my tasks
When I open a link to a table, either to check the progress of the data, or to import, it needs constant refreshing, or trying again later. This is a simple waste of time

A big part of this is a surge in usage and growth but we have a team fully dedicated to this of our most senior engineers and you should see improvements fast.
