Understanding Clay's Limitations on Running AI with OpenAI API

Hi, can someone please explain to me why Clay will not run AI with my company's Open AI API due to the rate limit? As I see in Open AI rate limit settings, we're supposed to spend $50 to get to Tier 2, but how can we spend it when Clay doesn't want to run AI even on a small table with 5 rows? Thank you!

The issue you're facing is likely due to insufficient tokens per minute (TPM) on your OpenAI plan, rather than the amount spent. For reliable use of OpenAI in Clay, you need 30,000 TPM for ChatGPT columns and 450,000 TPM for Claygent. To resolve this: 1. Check your current API usage tier at https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/limits 2. Ensure you're on Tier 2 or higher 3. If not, contact OpenAI support to upgrade your account Even if you've spent money on credits, you may need to specifically request a tier upgrade. After that, make an additional payment of $50 toward this usage-based plan, which will then automatically upgrade you to Tier 2. Hi Vanja, unfortunately I am not as well versed in Open AI's own API. I think your best bet at the moment would be reaching out to their support who I am sure will be better able to help. No problem, the most important thing for me to know is that, once we are in Tier 2, I will be able to use API in Clay. The rest is on their support. You've helped me a lot today!
