Need help! I am trying to use Zapier to import email addresses from Airtable to Clay. I feel like this should be very straightforward, but it's been super frustrating. Here's what I want done:
When new record (an email address) is created in Airtable, create a new row in designated Clay table with that email address.
What's happening:
A new row is being created in Clay, but it's blank.
No error messages, etc. Sharing screenshots in case anyone can point me in the right direction.
This issue typically occurs when the data isn't properly mapped in your Zapier configuration. When setting up the Clay action in Zapier, you need to specifically map the email address from Airtable to the corresponding field in Clay. Empty rows can also appear due to formatting issues with the data being transferred. Try reviewing your Zap configuration to ensure you've correctly mapped the email field from Airtable to the appropriate column in your Clay table.
Hey—have you considered using Clay’s direct Airtable integration instead of Zapier? It’s built in and much smoother for syncing records. You can find it when creating a new table in Clay—just choose Airtable as the source, and it’ll let you bring in data (like email addresses) directly without needing Zapier in the middle. Let me know if you want help setting that up.
thanks bo. i figured it out
