Issue with HubSpot Contact Import Syncing in Clay

Hi Everyone, I’ve come across an issue with our HubSpot contact imports. When some lifecycle stages (e.g., Lead to Sales Qualified Lead) were updated in HS, the values didn’t sync properly in Clay, despite manually updating the import. I also pulled the same contact list into a separate table from HubSpot, and then it reflected the correct values. Has anyone experienced something similar or have suggestions on what could be going wrong?

    There could be a few reasons why the updated lifecycle stages from HubSpot aren't syncing properly in Clay: 1. Default sync settings: By default, Clay syncs CRM imports every 24 hours. This means updates might not appear immediately. 2. Manual update process: When manually updating the import, make sure you're following these steps: • Click "Actions" dropdown • Select "Import" • Choose "Import Contacts from HubSpot" • Authenticate your HubSpot account • Search and select your list • Consider data preferences (include read-only properties, exclude empty properties) • Click Submit 3. Recent HubSpot integration updates: We've recently streamlined our HubSpot integration. You might want to try using the new "Update Object" action for more precise control over syncing. If the issue persists after trying these steps, you may need further assistance. In that case, please request to speak with a human agent for more in-depth troubleshooting.

      The default sync is 24 hrs yes but it is possible to do a manual sync at the same menu as there is a button "update now" (attached). I would. expect that this would resolve the issue but unfortunately it does not.

      This method just pulls in the list again duplicating everything.

      The update object I assume would just update the hubspot property in hubspot.

    Hey there, thanks for reaching out! ☺️ The issue with your HubSpot deal not syncing in your Clay table is likely due to how the integration works. Existing records in a Clay table don’t automatically update when changes are made in HubSpot. Instead, Clay pulls in new records, but previously imported ones remain unchanged. This means your Clay table reflects the state of HubSpot data at the time the records were first introduced, rather than providing a live sync. As a workaround, you can create a lookup hubspot column (on deals) and set it to run on a schedule to check for new data (e.g. every day).
