Hi Team- hoping to create a workbook (clean company domain list) that writes from another workbook (with all company domains) not including any that are also listed in a third workbook (do not contact company domains) that runs automatically as I update my do not contact and all company domain lists - how do I set this up?
To create a workbook that automatically updates by excluding domains from a "do not contact" list, you can use our "write to table" feature. Here's how: 1. Create three workbooks: master domain list, do not contact list, and clean company domain list. 2. In the clean company domain list, use the "write to table" feature to import data from the master domain list. 3. Set up a condition in the "write to table" feature to exclude domains that match those in the do not contact list. 4. Enable auto-update in the "write to table" settings to ensure your clean list updates automatically when changes are made to the master or do not contact lists. This setup will maintain an automatically updated clean company domain list, excluding any domains listed in your do not contact workbook.
Hi Liv, thank you for reaching out! One thought would be to start in your 'Master Domains' table, and use enrichment called 'Lookup Single Record in other Table'. You can use that to check if the domain in your Master table is already present in the 'Do not contact company domain' table. Here's a guide on the lookup function, if you're not familiar yet: https://www.clay.com/university/guide/lookup-rows Once you have that data, use the 'Write to Other Table' feature in your Master table. You can write to 'Clean Domains' table, on condition that the lookup didn't find anything in the DNC table. We have a nice video and guide on write-to-table right here: https://www.clay.com/university/lesson/write-to-table-clay-101 https://www.clay.com/university/guide/write-to-table-integration-overview That's pretty high level, but does this approach make sense, in general? Let me know!
