How I Built a No-Code Automation Audit Lead Magnet Using Claude, n8n, and Google Sheets
Built a free automation audit as a lead magnet a few months ago. Someone ran it last week, found a gap they'd been sitting on for a month, and posted about it on LinkedIn. Figured I'd share how it works since a few people have been building these. Stack is Claude + n8n on Railway + Google Sheets. Whole thing was a weekend. Six questions, conversational, not a form. What does the business do, team size, what eats the week, what tools, where it hurts. Scores each pain point, writes an audit, drops the transcript and a HOT/WARM/COLD score into a sheet, pings me on Gmail. Three things that actually mattered: Letting it say no. Guy from a 200 person GTM team ran it, said his biggest time sink was checking Slack. Bot pushed twice, got the same answer, then told him that isn't an automation problem, that's just work, and ended the session. Lost the lead. Every other transcript in that sheet is now someone I'd actually take a call with. The transcript is the real output, not the email. A PDF download gives you an address. This gives me their stack, their headcount, and the exact words they use for their problem. Calls are much shorter now. It has to refuse to leak its own internals. Took a few rounds of prompt patching before it stopped explaining its scoring logic when people asked. Live at mincac.com if you want to poke at it, break it, tell me where it's dumb. Happy to share the system prompt if anyone's building something similar.
