Roundup of New Go-To-Market Engineering Roles to Watch This Week
Hey Clay community - here’s a roundup of the GTM engineering roles that went live in the last few days. Eight worth a closer look:
$131,197.50–$176,400 base · Remote — US
The most explicitly AI-engineering stack in this roundup - LangGraph, LangChain and AWS Bedrock, plus LangFuse and LiteLLM, which almost no GTM posting names. Samsara is also hiring a Head of GTM AI and Engineering at $196K–$350K to lead AI engineers, data scientists and product managers for a roughly 1,500-person GTM organization. Two seats, one function being built out.
New York, NY
Common Room and Model Context Protocol sit in the same requirements list as Salesforce and SQL - a first GTM engineer expected to wire a no-code signal tool and an agent protocol into the same revenue infrastructure. The internal tools are named outright: forecast trackers, scoring dashboards, comp calculators, deal-desk monitoring.
San Francisco
A first GTM engineer at a backend platform whose users are developers - which the posting treats as the hard part: “Developers have antibodies against generic outbound, and the most valuable signal lives in product usage, not a lead form.” The work runs on their own product: “Write a bunch of cool GTM code on Convex itself. We dogfood.”
Tel Aviv District, Israel
A Head of GTM Engineering rather than another builder seat - the function growing a leadership layer. The mandate runs the whole innovation funnel from discovery to signal, and includes owning AI SDR, CS and support agents with “rigorous training cycles and daily outputs, no ‘set and forget’.”
Remote — US
Reports directly to the CRO, which is the detail worth noticing - it says where this function is landing on the org chart. Greenfield ownership of the entire outbound revenue engine at a Series B whose customers include Canva, OpenAI, Ramp and HubSpot.
Chicago, IL
A “GTM Engineer” role that doesn’t mention Clay - feel free to skip this one :) This is GTM engineering as product engineering - signup flows, activation loops, billing experiments and usage tracking for an eBPF observability tool, with Kafka, DuckDB and Stripe among the nice-to-haves. The posting draws the line itself: “This isn’t a ‘throw up some landing pages’ role.”
$120K–$250K base · San Francisco
The widest band in this roundup, and the posting explains why. No seniority in the title, no years-of-experience requirement anywhere, and code listed as “a strong plus” rather than a requirement - so an operator who automates and an engineer who does GTM both clear the bar, and the range prices both outcomes. Backed by Lightspeed, Thrive Capital and Google Ventures.
$130K–$225K base · Multiple locations
Posted in Palo Alto and São Paulo at once, building the outbound engine, sales execution layer and revenue data foundation for Brazil and Mexico. The posting is unusually direct about why the seat exists: “This is a function we’re staffing, not a gap we’re plugging... you would not spend your first year arguing for permission to automate something.”
That’s 8 of 43 - the other 35 are in the full edition: The Shortlist, Edition 002
