What do you typically charge for GTM engineering services when working with SaaS companies? Would love to hear your thoughts on pricing/rates.

Hi vaibhav k.! This is tough one generalize, we set an hourly rate internally, which may vary a bit by market and estimate the project scope and give a custom project price, so pretty much like engineering projects. We also consider the resources we'd use so try to estimate the credits/actions we'd use for building a project if the tool is not paid by the client - but in some cases the client prefers to have things built in their own tools, then we charge for the work itself.

For SaaS GTM engineering, I would separate discovery from build work and quote a fixed project range once the scope is clear. As a rough starting point, a small workflow or enrichment build could sit around $1k to $3k, with a monthly retainer for ongoing iteration and support. The main variables are integrations, data volume, QA, and whether the client covers tool costs. I would also clarify who owns the Clay and other tool accounts so usage costs stay separate from the service fee.

price it based on the scope and how much of the gtm system you’re actually building since research enrichment outbound automation and reporting can take very different amounts of work i’d also consider a project fee for the initial setup and a monthly retainer for ongoing optimization so the pricing matches the actual workload
