How do you find companies still managing sales commissions in spreadsheets?
Hey all, Working on a signal-based outbound build in Clay and hit an interesting sourcing problem. Curious how others would approach it. Goal: find B2B companies (100 to 2,000 employees, recently raised a Series B/C) that still run sales commissions in spreadsheets, i.e. no ICM tool like CaptivateIQ, Spiff or Xactly yet. What I’ve tried: scraping Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby for comp analyst roles. Problem: companies hiring comp analysts mostly already have an ICM tool (the posting names it). Explicit “commissions in Excel” language is rare. Question: what signals or Clay enrichments have you used to detect a missing tool? E.g. tech stack providers, Claygent prompts on job posts, finance roles that mention “commissions,” BuiltWith gaps, etc. Any proxies that actually held up? Happy to share what I find back here
