Hi everyone, How are you approaching social prospect research in Clay? I’m curious how folks here are handling prospecting and enrichment for outbound workflows. Specifically: 1. How are you finding relevant prospects from social platforms? 2. What tools/data sources are you using to enrich profiles? 3. Which social signals have been most useful? 4. How are you automating the research process inside Clay? I’ve been exploring this challenge myself and have been working on Followerscrape around social prospect research and lead enrichment. Sharing that mainly as context, since I’d love to hear what’s working well for you today — and where you still see gaps or limitations. What’s been effective in your workflow?
Honestly, seeing the major success right now from scraping off competitor followers and mapping the ICP. We just scrape the profiles through extensions and use Dropleads.io / Apollo.io to enrich profiles, etc. Not automating in entirely the Enrichment process and loading to outbound sequencer can be automated but the first step, we do it semi automated for quality. Using Heyreach/ Plusvibe as sequencer these days
That’s interesting — competitor followers → ICP mapping is actually very close to what we’re working on with Followerscrape. We specifically help with the competitor-follower data layer, so you can start with a targeted follower audience instead of manually scraping profiles first. We can also provide the enriched profile data, including business emails. Would be happy to share an example of the output if useful.
i’ve been testing a similar workflow for outbound and the social signals have been way more useful when they’re tied to actual buying intent rather than just job title or company size for example someone posting about a problem your service solves gives you a much stronger reason to reach out. for enrichment i’ve been using icypeas to find and verify emails after building the prospect list and it’s been useful for keeping bounce rates low while scaling the outreach the part i’m still experimenting with is automating the research without losing the context that makes the outreach feel human
That’s interesting — especially the part about tying social signals to actual buying intent. We’re working on the prospect research side with Followerscrape, specifically by pulling followers from competitor LinkedIn pages and enriching those profiles with business emails. I’d be happy to share a sample of the output if useful.
JOY S. I prefer Lusha for enrichment & it natively integrates with Clay. Their MCP is super easy to set up with your LLM so you can do everything within the LLM chat window. As far as social signals website visitors has been working really well. There's plenty of others here though.
