Building HubSpot Workflows with Clay: Seeking Guidance & Examples
Hey Clay team! We're building an inbound lead and referral workflow in Clay that syncs directly to HubSpot. The goal is to create/update Companies, Contacts, and Deals in one row, with full associations between them and all relevant properties mapped—including dropdowns like Deal Owner, Pipeline, Deal Stage, Lead Status, Lifecycle Stage, Referral Owner, etc. We’re starting with just first name, last name, company name, and email, and enriching from there. We’ve already mapped out which fields need static vs dynamic dropdowns, and we plan to handle: • Looking up or creating Companies and Contacts • Creating a Deal in the correct pipeline and stage • Associating the Deal to the Company and Contact • Populating all relevant properties for each object (e.g., owners, lead source, cohort, etc.) Eventually we’ll also sync this to Outreach, but for now we’re just focused on getting the Clay → HubSpot workflow dialed in. Does anyone have a best-practice table setup or example they could share for doing this in Clay? Especially around managing associations and dynamic dropdowns across multiple pipelines?
