Optimizing Podcast Research Workflow for Effective Outreach
Hey there – quick gut-check on a podcast-research workflow I’m building an outreach table that will:
- 1.
Pull US-based IT contacts (C-level to Manager) via Find People
- 2.
Detect podcast appearances in the last 12 months – planning to use Claygent (no paid ListenNotes API)
- 3.
Grab an alternate colleague’s name (same company, similar seniority) so I can drop it into a PS line
- 4.
Generate a personalised email snippet and export the rows to Smartlead/CSV for an A/B test against our current opener
Would love your tips on: • Best Claygent prompt (or HTTP setup) to return Podcast Name, Episode URL, Episode Date reliably • Cleanest way to pull “another decision-maker” and merge their Full Name into a {{Colleague_Name}} field (so the PS disappears if none found) • Any gotchas for deduping/avoiding contacts emailed in the last 45 days • Favourite method to tag an in-Clay A/B split that syncs nicely to Smartlead later Constraint: sticking to native Clay + free tools – no paid APIs for now. Huge thanks for any snippets, screenshots or watch-outs. Happy to share results back once it’s live! 🙏
