hey guys, started using clay not long ago, question about email waterfall enrichment From your experience, what's most reliable source and/or combination? I connected my FullEnrich API since I do have good subscription already and use it first as it's cheaper than Clay credits Then, I tried a bunch of different combos, but haven't found anything reliable that is actually able to do solid job of emails that FullEnrich can't find For example: Prospeo and Leadmagic find 0 emails after FullEnrich fail, exactly 0 Icypeas find around 10-20% of lacking ones What else should I try?
Good point Maksym, you’re right that FullEnrich already taps Dropcontact inside its own waterfall so running it again separately won’t add much. Apollo still adds value since its dataset is independent and often catches what others miss. As for Claygent it’s not about raw email enrichment like FE it can scrape public facing info (press releases, LinkedIn snippets, team pages) and sometimes surface a usable contact that APIs miss. Not 100% hit rate but in combo with Apollo it can fill some of those last gaps.
When nothing works, the last option would be data leak/breach APIs available at RapidAPI. You’ll most likely find every person though it’s not productive or user friendly.
Hasnain R. btw if you're curious, today just requested third-party providers that FullEnrich use inside their own waterfall email enrichment - Dropcontact was there already, so most likely no reason to do it. Apollo ok, for some reason havent thought about that. But Claygent, how does web search public info will help?
Yeah best setup is FullEnrich → Apollo or Dropcontact → Claygent → Verify. That way you cover way more than Prospeo/Leadmagic and still keep costs in check.
ok, I'll try it now in the same table and tell the result
got it, yeah Findymail to enrich missing leads and/or validate catch-all emails from FE will be your best bet then
FullEnrich actually gives the "Deliverabillity output" which can be one of DELIVERABLE, HIGH_PROBABILLITY or CATCH-ALL. And basically I clean up catch all, but high_probabillity is safe to send. Sometimes for my clients I also use Instantly's verification, but for myself I don't want to spend extra credits for that marginal difference 😂
Findymail but the biggest differentiator will likely be the email validation used, not as much the enrichment are you using the default waterfall validation (Zerobounce) or something else?
