Using AI doesn’t seem to work when providing examples for newly created columns. It still works with existing ones, but for new columns I keep getting an "invalid input" every time.
When using AI for new columns, the "invalid input" error might occur if the required fields aren't properly set up. To resolve this: 1. Open the Prompt Editor for your AI enrichment. 2. Identify fields that must contain data before the enrichment runs. 3. Toggle "Required to Run" for these fields. 4. Save your prompt configuration. Additionally, it's best to test AI enrichments on a small sample (about 10 rows) before running the entire column. This allows you to identify and fix errors in advance. Hey team, everything should be fixed. Can you guys let me know if you're still seeing this?
Hey team, I wanted to follow up here - I've built a website and I'm using a Clay webhook to pull emails from an interest form. The fields are correctly pulling through to Clay, but when I add new columns to enrich that email (i.e., get the name, LinkedIn URL, company, etc.), the 'Enrich Person' column (next to the Webhook and then Email columns) is giving an Invalid input error. How do you recommend troubleshooting?
Filip - Do you mind sending the link (url) to the table so we can take a look?
Hey, I fixed it for you — the issue was that the email was mistakenly added in the Social URL field, which caused the “Invalid input” error. I’ve removed that, kept only the email field, and it’s working now. Just a heads up: Gmail addresses can be harder to match accurately with enrichment. I’d recommend using the LinkedIn waterfall instead — it usually gives much better results. Let me know if you want help setting that up.
Hey, It’s already set up correctly — now you just need to add the LinkedIn waterfall enrichment. Go to the enrichment panel, search for “LinkedIn Profile (Waterfall)”, and select it. Then simply map the email field into the input. That’ll let Clay track who submitted the email by finding their LinkedIn profile. Let me know if you have more questions
I recorded this walkthrough video showing exactly how to set this up: https://cln.sh/9KpR4mwc Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
Thanks!! This worked great
