Ottimate hiring a Director of AI Engineering 🤖
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to do more than manage from the sidelines. You’ll own the full AI and ML layer of our product while spending at least half your time writing code, architecting systems, and shipping alongside your team.
You’ll lead a distributed team of 8–10 Data and ML engineers and help shape:
• Production agentic workflows using frontier models
• Our conversational AP Copilot
• Invoice understanding and vendor intelligence
• Model evals, observability, and reliability
• The next generation of autonomous AP agents
We’re looking for a strong AI engineering leader who has built real products in production, understands agentic systems and the full ML lifecycle, and knows how to move quickly in a startup environment.
Finance or accounts payable experience is a bonus. Exceptional AI engineering ability is the primary bar.
📍 Remote within the United States only
💰 $200K–$225K base
📈 15% annual bonus + equity
