Building Sales Automation and Market Intel Tools Using Clay and Claude Code: Insights from an SDR Perspective
Hey everyone -- I'm Kjel, based in NYC. Experienced SDR on a pretty lean team, and I've ended up being the one pushing Clay and GTME principles into our sales org -- working on automation, enrichment, and signal aggregation to make life easier and the team more effective. Most of my experience is in standing up standalone tools rather than living inside Clay itself (though Clay is one of my bigger focuses for the coming months). My main project right now is a sales motion aggregator that turns "we should prospect this company" into an enriched, AI-drafted sequence ready for Salesloft. The other piece is a market intel panel that pulls industry-specific data to feed into it. Both are delivering real value for me and the team, which I'm genuinely proud of, but I'm mostly flying by the seat of my pants and figuring it out as I go. Building almost exclusively with Claude Code. If anyone has recommendations for folks doing this kind of work publicly and refining their process out loud, I'd love to know who you're following. And of course if you're doing this yourself, super keen to chat.
