Seeking Recommendations for Business Enrichment Services

·
·

Hello everyone! I would like to hear your opinion on a rather simple use case. What are the enrichment services you would use to extract a massive list of businesses given this input data:

  • Industry / Vertical market (from a listbox)

  • Specific area (city or region name)

  • Business size (€ revenues / Nr employees)

Note: businesses can be fully digital, brick & mortar or hybrid What I need is a basic simple output with:

  • Brand name / company name

  • Website

  • City / Region

I'm thinking about using refined GMaps enrichment but maybe there is some already known pattern/template used by the comminity.

Answer: Are you suggesting Google Maps because your target businesses are usually active there? If so, that’s a good approach, but for the input data you’re working with (Industry, Specific Area, and Business Size), the Find Companies feature in Clay is a great fit for your use case. You can use the Find Companies feature to easily search for businesses based on industry, location, and more. Here’s a link to the documentation: Find Companies - Clay University. This method will give you all the businesses for free, including their Brand/Company Name, Website, and City/Region, but note that it doesn’t include revenue directly. To get revenue information, you can use the Revenue Waterfall feature or individual providers within the enrichment panel. You can find this by clicking the “Add Enrichment” button at the top right of the page. Let me know if you need more details or assistance! 😊

Thanks Bo (.! I was trying to understand if the "Clay find companies" works well for local businesses and not "fully digital" because much of my target is in Italy and for very small companies and often with a limited digital presence. Meanwhile I’ll go to look at the link, thank you very much! 😉

Bo (. I already create a table with some custom enrichment columns that do a similar job to "Clay find companies". Is it possible to know which are the db/sources for the "Clay find companies" import? Is it starting from linkedin? or other?

Hi Marco, thanks for reaching out! What type of local businesses are you searching for in Italy? 1. Clay "Find Companies" search uses third party data providers that scrape LinkedIn company pages for data. We do not use LinkedIn directly as a source. Rather, we have a lot of overlap with LinkedIn data due to third party data providers 2. If most of your target accounts are small local businesses that are not on LinkedIn, I would recommend using the Google Maps enrichment to find businesses and then enrichment them with the data points you are looking for. I would note that if a company does not have a LinkedIn page, it will be hard for most data providers to find information for you regarding business size, but you could try Clearbit andPeople Data Labs.
