Improving Workflows for LinkedIn Outreach and Tech Stack Identification

·
·

Hi everyone, I’m looking for help with two workflows and would really appreciate any insights:

  1. 1.

    LinkedIn active profile check:

I'm building a workflow to determine if a prospect is active on LinkedIn, so we can decide whether to include them in our linkedin outreach. While I’m able to enrich profiles and check if they're active, the issue I’m facing is that Clay doesn’t seem to visit the profile to check for recent engagement, such as likes, comments, or posts. Clay retrieves most data points from profiles, but the results for activity aren’t accurate. Currently, I’m using GPT-4 mini and our own OpenAI API for this. Could someone help me figure out a better approach? 2. Identifying tech stacks for construction companies: I'm also trying to identify specific tech stacks used by construction companies. I’ve attempted this using Clay’s tech stack waterfall enrichments but only achieved a success rate of 9.1%. I’ve also tried scraping job descriptions via Clay to extract tech stacks but haven't had much luck. Any ideas on how to work around this or improve accuracy? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi Balaaj, thanks for reaching out! 1. Clay actually has an enrichment called "Find Recent Social Posts by User or Company" that pulls up to 10 most recent posts along with the number of reactions (aka likes) and comments. I've included screenshots below of what the enrichment looks like as well as the data points it returns. This should work for what you're looking for, feel free to give this a try and let me know! https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1187697799/9acccf19594501fd290ee32c/CleanShot+2024-09-20+at+16_54_11%402x.png?expires=1726867800&signature=29ba109f3f1d023102fa0ad611504b6397df78f0c080a28954fac394b7f401db&req=dSEvEc93moZWUPMW1HO4zcbD0NVJ2POvGmNSlMY9o8tVx2hOeVWvFrb%2FKcmi%0Ag630%0A https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1187697773/607781eeac977c9884e5bfbc/CleanShot+2024-09-20+at+16_54_26%402x.png?expires=1726867800&signature=2dc35a09ba79573ba1138073684907d5c625d68e5c7219676da523c4ac33c363&req=dSEvEc93moZYWvMW1HO4zfzXVvynmIV4nizQh%2F1TDBZwtPpSWfCAgEPSN9Go%0Agvhl%0A 2. I'm not sure what the best solution for improving your results with finding tech stacks for construction companies would be. Could you share a bit more information about the types of technologies you are looking for and where you currently find them if you were doing this manually? This will help us figure out the best approach to automating this for you. Let me know if you have any other questions! 😊

Hi Tanvi, thank you for your prompt resolution and I apologise for the late reply on my end.

    1. 1.

That would be helpful, I'll give it a try and hopefully it will work or at least give me the recent activity on their linkedin which is helpful.

    2. 2.

The tech stack that I'm trying to find for these companies are not front end tools, perhaps thats the reason for the low success rate on the builtwith integration. Predict leads had a much better success rate for finding these tools. I'm trying to find accounting and project management tools for these companies. Some examples of these are :

    • Sage

    • Procore

    • CMIC

    • Acumatica

    • Quickbooks

    • MS Excel

The manual process that I use right now for finding these is to go on their company website/linkedin page and look for open jobs for Finance or Project management roles, and from there try to find the tech stack requirements for each of the company that are mentioned in the job descriptions. This is the best way around that I was able to find. Do you have a better process in mind that I could implement on clay?

Hey there Balaaj, jumping in for Tanvi here. This is actually a industry I have good amount of experience with, so I can confidently tell you that finding the tech stacks for construction firms will be very difficult to do even with Clay. This is mostly due to the fact that an overwhelming majority of these firms will not have a very robust webpage. On average every webpage can broken down into three parts previous projects, testimonials, and contact info. And so there will be very little information on technologies that a construction firm will use. Right now the process that you are using with Predict Lead would be your best bet to find these results on a companies Tech Stack, within Clay.

Hey Luis, thanks for jumping in and answering my questions. I guess will have to stick to the current process for this. Thanks again!
