Hello! I need some Clay expert help. Here's what I'm looking to do:
input: list of companies
output: list of people (1) in specific functions and (2) located in the US who have left those companies in the past 2 years
Is there a direct way to do this—i.e., without having to burn credits on pulling both employees that have and have not left?
Yes, there's a way to do this in Clay using the Find People feature. Here's how: 1. Use the Find People tool with your list of companies. 2. Toggle on "Past experiences" to include people who have left these companies. 3. Set filters for: • Location: United States • Time frame: Last 2 years • Specific functions you're interested in 4. Use the "Exclude people" option to filter out current employees, focusing only on those who have left. This approach allows you to target former employees without pulling data on current ones, helping to conserve credits. If you need further assistance, please request human support by clicking on "Talk to a person" in this chat.
if you create a people table without the past experiences toggle on and then create another table with the past experiences toggle on while excluding the people from the first table - you ll have the people who previously used to work at the target companies then you can run the enrichment or an ai column if they have left in the past two years or longer
Yes, in Clay you can use the People Search block with filters for job change history. Set the company as “Past Company,” function as the target department, and location as “United States.” Then filter by “Left company within last 2 years.” This way, you only use credits on relevant profiles.
Hey, Great use case and suggestions (thanks guys! :) . To get people who’ve left a company in the past 2 years, here’s how you can do it efficiently: 1. Use the “Find People” enrichment and turn on the “Include Past Experience” option. This will pull people who used to work at the listed companies. 2. After import, filter out anyone still at the company. 3. Use “Enrich Person from Profile” to get detailed job history—it’s 1 credit per row. 4. Then apply a formula to calculate how long ago they left, and filter for those who left within 2 years. Let me know if you have more questions
