Seeking Guidance on Using Clay for Lead Management and Categorization

·
·

Hi team, Not sure if this is the right channel to ask but what I'm trying to achieve is the following: Enter a list of leads into Clay and have Clay help me to:

  1. 1.

Determine if entry to these places is free.

  2. 2.

Check if the lead belongs to a specific category (parks, beaches, etc.)

  3. 3.

Verify if the lead is located in a major city.

Can you guide me?

Hi Santiago, thanks for reaching out! Appreciate you chiming in here Amit, this is definitely a great use case for Claygent, and Scrap can be helpful if there's specific Google Maps data you'd like to pull. I would recommend breaking this workflow into 3 separate Claygent columns/prompts. Here's an outline of the 3 Claygent prompts for you below, this should be a good starting point for you. Please note you will need to link the correct inputs and modify the constraints as you see fit. Prompt 1: Determine if entry to these places is free Objective: Your goal is to find out if the entry to a list of leads (locations) is free or paid. Summary of Actions: • Search for each location using the provided name (/lead name) and any additional details such as city or website (/location website). • Look for specific information about entry fees. This might be found in sections like "Admission," "Visitor Information," or "Tickets." • Determine whether entry is free or there is a charge. Detailed Step-by-Step: 1. Start by performing a search using the format: "/lead name admission fee" or "/lead name free entry." 2. Check the official website of the lead (if available), particularly the "Visit" or "Plan Your Visit" sections. 3. Review any other reliable sources, such as tourism or travel guides, for information about entry fees. 4. If no clear answer is found, return "Unknown." Constraints: • Return "Free" if entry is confirmed to be free, "Paid" if a fee is required, or "Unknown" if no information is available. Output Format: Return the result in the column /entry status. For example: • Free • Paid • Unknown Prompt 2: Check if the lead belongs to a specific category (parks, beaches, etc.) Objective: Your goal is to categorize the lead based on its type, such as a park, beach, museum, etc. Summary of Actions: • Search for the lead (/lead name) and determine if it falls under a specific category like parks, beaches, museums, or other location types. Detailed Step-by-Step: 1. Start by performing a search using the lead name and adding keywords like "type," "category," or "site." 2. Visit the lead's official website or credible third-party sources (e.g., TripAdvisor, Google Maps). 3. Check sections like "About Us" or "What to Expect" for the category type. 4. If uncertain, categorize based on the description of activities and location type. Constraints: • Categorize only into broad types like "Park," "Beach," "Museum," or "Other." • If no specific type is mentioned, return "Uncategorized." Output Format: Return the category in the column /category. For example: • Park • Beach • Museum • Uncategorized Prompt 3: Verify if the lead is located in a major city Objective: Your goal is to determine whether the lead is located in a major city. Summary of Actions: • Check if the lead's location matches a major city (such as New York, London, Paris, etc.). Detailed Step-by-Step: 1. Perform a search using the format: "/lead name city location" or "/lead name address." 2. Visit the lead's website or third-party sources like Google Maps or Wikipedia to verify the city where the lead is located. 3. Compare the city name to a list of major cities (e.g., New York, London, Paris, etc.). 4. If the city is not considered major, return "No." Constraints: • Return "Yes" if the location is in a major city, "No" if it is not, or "Unknown" if no city information is found. Output Format: Return the result in the column /major city. For example: • Yes • No • Unknown Let me know if this makes sense and if you have further questions - happy to hop on a quick call if that's helpful :)
