Scraping Engagement and Connections on LinkedIn: Is It Possible?

Ā·
Ā·

Is there a way to identify / scrape who commented or liked people's posts on linkedin? So we are using the "find recent posts by user or company" but am curious if we can identify people that are engaging with these posts. Similarly, am interested in identifying people's connections... is there a way to identify and pull connections from identified people?

Hey, thanks for reaching out To identify people who comment or like LinkedIn posts, tools like Phantombuster or Apify can help with scraping that data. However, please be careful using these platforms as LinkedIn may have restrictions that can lead to risks or account issues. As for pulling connections from identified people, unfortunately, thatā€™s not possible through LinkedInā€™s current setup or integrations.

damn, makes sense... ive noticed that the recent post feature is a little hit or miss, any guidance on this? Basically we've seen many instances of people who have made posts recently that aren't picked up

The reason for this is similarā€”because there are so many posts worldwide, not all can be captured by the data provider in real time. Some posts may have been refreshed a while ago, so the most recent ones might not always be picked up right away. Claygent can be good to find more recent one but is open to hallucination as well so be carefull.

Ah - so you suggest making a claygent enrichment where it tries to pull recent posts as well as the native recent post feature?

Yes, I have created a worked flow that scraps people who are engaging with a specific post. I used rapid apis for that

Hey Bren! I wanted to offer some additional suggestions to help you with your search for recent posts by a user or company. Here are two more approaches you could try out: 1. Consider using Clayagent Neon, Helium, or Argon Model to scrape the post page directly from the user or company. 2. Another option is to utilize an API, such as the one offered by https://rapidapi.com/rockapis-rockapis-default/api/linkedin-data-api. I hope these ideas are helpful to you!

You can capture connections of other users if youre connected to them
