Hi all! I am building two tables to track job changes. One is from a static list of accounts, and I am looking to pull any job changes in the last 6 months. The prompts I have tried thus far are not pulling the correct data when cross checked with sales nav. Is there a better way to pull this info so it is accurate?
Hi Effy, thanks for reaching out! Are you using our job changes signal to track these changes, or are you writing your own AI prompt? We recommend using the track job changes signal to automatically get notified when someone in your list changes jobs. You can also conduct a historical search of job changes. Here's a guide with more information: https://docs.clay.com/en/articles/9736190-track-job-changes Let me know if you need further assistance with your set up - feel free to share your table url if so!
I have one using the job change signal but what I am trying to do is pull everyone who fits a certain criteria that has either been hired/promoted within a list of companies. There aren't specific people that I am tracking, just accounts. Hopefully this makes sense lol
Got it Effy, happy to take a look. Do you mind sending the link to the tables so we can take a look? https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1171717996/ac7729f84b426e1d0358af02/image.png?expires=1730995200&signature=df5dd91acc79bc907c4781b5212b9b115f1ed66a5230f24f7096dbb127439b96&req=dSEgF85%2FmohWX%2FMW1HO4zYTywSv1D5IU2BKsam%2FhVPuI1A%3D%3D%0A

Hey Effy, did you delete this table by any chance? I'm not able to open it
I did not
Could you let me know if you're able to open it on your end?
yes i have it open on my end
Alright Effy, so after taking a closer look at your table there are a few things to improve in your table: 1. The Job Changes Signal only works to track changes with specific LinkedIn profiles. It cannot intake a company LinkedIn url and track all people associated with that company. Instead, to use this you'll need to pull out the people LinkedIn urls you want to track and then set up a job change signal table with these people URLs. Once you have these urls, you can conduct a historical job change search by adding the optional company LinkedIn url input in the set up as well. Adding this input automatically conducts a historical check to see if the person is still at this company. 2. I have great news on the promotions tracking front as well! We actually have a promotions tracker signal that's launching soon, and our team is going to give you early access to this feature so you can use it here to monitor promotions at these companies! Once this feature has been added to your workspace, I can help you set up a table to track historical and/or future promotions at these companies as well. Claygent is not the best enrichment to use here as it does not automatically update if a job change or promotion is made - it only checks in that instance. Additionally, asking it to search through every employee profile on a company LinkedIn page for any changes is too many broad steps to where it may not function correctly. Thus, using signals here will give you better results. As a next step for both of these improvements, let's confirm a list of contacts from these companies that you'd like to track for promotions and job changes. I see you ran a Find Contacts at Company enrichment here which is great. However, due to limitations on how much data Clay table cells can handle, you're only able to see up to 10 contacts per cell regardless of how many results were found. What would be best here is recreating this search with the find people action and then importing these results into a new table. From here, we can create the correct signal tracking tables! Here's a quick video discussing all of the above and next steps: https://www.loom.com/share/f47e01274cd34f1dbedc683aee4277d5?sid=bbb20a8d-6524-46e5-be1f-260274b1a937
Hey Tanvi you’re the best 🙏 thank you!
Appreciate you Effy, so excited to get this built with you! Keep me posted once you've made the new find people table :)
Also just got confirmation from the team that you are on the promotions signal beta!
Alright so I created the new find people table as well as the job tracker, I'd love the historical job change search to be searchable by date. ie if anyone has a start date within the past 6 months. Working on the promotion table now as well.
Looks great Effy, just took a look! You can apply the historical job change by adding the company LinkedIn where I've highlighted below. It will conduct a historical check for a job change in the past 3 months - let me know if this works for you. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1243715719/eced49cae987421e3aba8c51845f/CleanShot+2024-11-07+at+15_07_27%402x.png?expires=1731012300&signature=7ee1e4a8cd177c570a85ca1fda210cbbbd8b79494a83066667be4f28cac6377e&req=dSIjFc5%2FmIZeUPMW1HO4zQw%2B9oNwS529G3wD%2BPSepBynqVFbwZ0vRYWZpHpj%0ARQ26%0A
It's not letting me edit the job tracker source to add the historical aspect. Would I have to create a new source in order to add that in?
Hi Effy, yes I would delete this source and create a new one!
Thank youuuuu
My pleasure!
