Does anyone else think clay’s find people is bad?
In what way?
Mind sharing more about why Find People doesn’t work well for you? There are lots of tips & tricks with getting the most out of Find People :)
Aaron J. ~ It's because most of the home improvement companies are not on LinkedIn and when you use Find People - the main source of data is LinkedIn. I'd use scrape from Google maps feature of Clay- i see a lot of people getting great results. If you want to go a step further, you need to build a custom scraper to do point by point maps scraping which requires coding knowledge.
Thanks for the tag Matt S.. Agree that the list-building strategy is highly dependent on which market segment you serve, and you would want to stitch together at least a couple different sources so as to not put all your eggs in one basket and to increase coverage. Here is the post on different levels of sophistication of extracting data from Google Maps that Matt referred to, in case anyone is interested.
Yeah! A couple things I’d try in your case Aaron J.
Use Google Maps source in Clay (great for SMB)
Use OpenMart source in Clay (great for SMB)
Try asking Sculptor in natural language the ppl you want to find and build that list - remember, well-written prompts are key when working with AI
Our Find Companies & People dataset is more tailored towards businesses and individuals that have LinkedIn presence. Try the other data sources I suggested above and lmk if and how that changes your outcome!
Yeah we have a few data sources including Google Maps that form the backbone of our data set, and that data gets enriched by Clay via Web Research.
