Understanding Clay Credits for Lead Extraction: Need Help!

Hey there, I'm new to clay. I extracted list of 500 companies when I was on free plan. After that took a subscription of $349 plan which gave me 10k credits. I tried extracting 4 leads from each of these 500 companies. It didn't give me the complete data (830 Leads) and it costed me 7500 credits. Can you help me out here? Why did it cost me so much credits when it displayed that it costs only 1 credit per lead?

The credit cost varies depending on the type of data points and providers used for enrichment. While some actions cost 1-2 credits, others can cost significantly more: ** Finding an email can cost 2-5 credits depending on the provider ** Finding additional contact information like mobile numbers can cost anywhere from 2-25 credits * Different data providers charge different rates for the same informationThe total credit cost reflects the combination of different data points you enriched for each lead. While basic prospecting (list building) is free, any data enrichment that requires accessing external data providers (like contact information, LinkedIn profiles, or company data) will consume credits.To better track your credit usage, you can right-click on any column and select "Run Info" to see a summary of credits spent on that specific data point. I tried extracting just the profile of the leads without enriching the data? Then why did it cost me so much credits?

There seems to be a misunderstanding. Extracting profiles (list building/prospecting) from LinkedIn or other sources is actually free and doesn't consume any credits.Credits are only used when you perform data enrichment actions, such as: ** Finding contact information ** Retrieving firmographic data * Other data enrichment tasksIf you're seeing credit usage, it's likely that some form of data enrichment was activated when pulling the profiles. Each profile enrichment costs 1 credit.To avoid unexpected credit usage, make sure you're only using the basic list building features without any additional data enrichment options enabled.
