Hi! Hi! While using the "Write to other table" function, I receive the error message: "You cannot write to the selected table because the sequence of write-to-table integrations is misconfigured clay", which prevents the table from running. Could you please advise on what might be causing this issue? Thank you!
You might be writing from one table to alot of tables
Hi Muhammad, thanks for reply. I would like to chain 3 tables. Data would be generated from table A to B and then to C. Yesterday such a connection worked. Today I added a new column "Write to table" in table A to column B and everything fell apart, I get the mentioned message when editing older columns of type "Write to table" created yesterday. I removed unnecessary columns of type "Write to table" (I undid today's actions), but the error still occurs with the older ones.
Initial chaining would work - But when you try to edit it clay will start breaking write to other column. A solution would be disconnect all three tables, do your necessary editing, then start chaining the tables back from A <> B <> C and it will work
thank you!
Hey there, It sounds like the issue is due to a misconfiguration in the sequence of your table integrations. This can happen if there’s a missing or deleted table in the sequence, which stops the entire process. Here's how to resolve it: 1. Open each Write to Table individually within your setup. 2. Check for any that show an error or indicate a faulty connection. 3. Specifically, locate the Write to Table that has an error - it will need to either be deleted or reconnected to the correct table. Let us know if you need more guidance! Hope that solves the issue for you. If not, feel free to share your table and I'll look into it :)
Hey there - just wanted to check in here to see if you needed anything else! Feel free to reply back here if you do.
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
Thanks! We've reopened this thread. You can continue to add more detail directly in this thread.
Hi Team! I'm back with the same error problem. I created an advanced table structure and for each table I used the write to table function. The table structure worked fine so far. Today an exclamation mark appeared in the write to table column transferring data from the first table to the second. The method of deleting all subsequent write to table would be very tedious and time-consuming. Is there a way to solve this problem? Please help :)
I also wondered if the fact that the first table is not in the Workbook could cause an error?
Hey there! Let me help you troubleshoot that Write to Table error you're seeing 😊 There are a few common things that could be causing this: 1. Too many connected tables (more than 10 in a chain) 2. Accidental data loops between tables 3. Missing tables in your write-to-table chain (Meaning some have been deleted) You're onto something about the workbook! Having your tables in a workbook actually makes this easier to debug since you can use the graph view to spot any issues in your table connections. Let me know if you've checked all those issues first and if it's still not working, send me where you're seeing the error.
Hi Bo! Thanks for your reply. I didn't find any missing tables and there were no random data loops (it worked the day before). Probably the reason is too many connected tables. It's important for me that they are all connected. I think removing table connections in the table write is unavoidable 😑
Hey there, thanks for reaching out! To better assist you, could you let me know how many tables you currently have connected? Additionally, would you be able to create a short video demonstrating your table structure? This visual guide will allow us to follow along and identify any inconsistencies, making it much easier for us to troubleshoot the issue you're facing! Feel free to send over the video whenever you're ready. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to reach out! 😊
Hi Daniel, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, there are many tables involved in the process. To provide a clear overview, I am sharing the structure diagram of the tables. The TOP NURTING table, which initiates the data flow, is not actually part of the Workbook. I added it artificially here so you can have a full understanding of the data structure. The process is as follows: TOP NURTING → COMPANY
Company data is transferred to initiate the scraping process for job offers.
COMPANY → JOB OFFERS
Data from companies is scraped and filtered, and the results are passed to the JOB OFFERS table.
JOB OFFERS → Candidate Tables (Match Tables)
Job offers are assigned to individual candidate tables based on the Job Type.
Candidate Tables (Match Tables) → CV Analysis
In each table, the job offers are compared with the candidate’s CV.
The results include:
Match percentages.
Action items for the candidate.
Action items for the sales team.
Hey! Could you share your table links with me? That way I can take a look and help figure out the connection issues. Without seeing the actual tables, I'm a bit limited in what I recommend, but I'd love to help solve this! 🙂 If you have more than 10, there's nothing we can do unfortunately other than you reducing the interconnectivity of the teables
