Hi team, each time we add a new Google Maps source to this table (for example we want to add a search in a different location) it duplicates our previous Google Maps searches, leaving us with duplicates. Any ideas why this is happening? Here is one of the tables it is happening to
Hi Allison, thank you for reaching out. Iโm having trouble accessing your table with the provided link. However, one way to potentially avoid this issue is by using our "Auto-dedupe" function. This will automatically remove any rows where a duplicate value appears in a specific column. To use it, simply click the "auto-dedupe" button at the bottom right, as shown below: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1250575525/e5df28c92e6727e1090e6f0fcb39/CleanShot+2024-11-13+at+11_35_46%402x.png?expires=1731518100&signature=7dc72ed3802d03bb2f96e56ca819c406300a9d1f85701b903f0317f81ee3e65d&req=dSIiFsx5mIRdXPMW1HO4zfkgDJ4b0%2B%2BcDfKo69frPsJPjiJmgkQ597xBV3b8%0AS70N%0A Then the following menu will appear on your screen : https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1250578340/609ce7111652a52c77ba252b3b75/CleanShot+2024-11-13+at+11_38_02%402x.png?expires=1731518100&signature=56f93146e40e027cec2852aadee7baa60b385a64d192f934eccf583dc88a8d5c&req=dSIiFsx5lYJbWfMW1HO4zVQIBd0XNpTq%2BeKKGvXmLLSlE3Gv1G9XJgw5QMBu%0ATObv%0A Here, you can select the drop-down menu and choose a column to verify whether two restaurants are the same. For example, you could use the address or the website (if available) as the criteria. This will automatically remove any duplicate entries it detects, based on their address. Let me know if this helps!
Hi Stefano, thanks for sending this over! That helps with filtering our table for duplicated. However we are still running into an issue where we will do our first Google maps search for Chefs in Los Angeles. Then we will do a new Google Maps so Chefs in Nashville and then add that to the existing table. When we do that it is running the LA search again along with the Nashville search and charging us credits for the LA search again. Does that make sense?
I just turned on sharing for this table maybe this link will work - https://app.clay.com/shared-table/share_32vvpbeZkr5N
Hi, thank you for reaching out. I believe the reason this might be happening is because you have "auto-update" on. This causes all the rows to be re-run when a new search is executed on the table. In order to remove this, you should select the autoupdate button, as shown below: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1250629942/b472ae65f4f8b3c1ed2b66b006e4/CleanShot%2B2024-11-13%2Bat%2B12_10_01-402x.png?expires=1731519900&signature=cbaed5fdd2be44edc44828af832951c580a873f02cec6e7e609adc100f674771&req=dSIiFs98lIhbW%2FMW1HO4zaW%2FHse4i1dPitwfSQZbtkGG59MGxeMeVHAbF3TW%0AxB2l%0A After selecting this button, the following menu should pop up: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1250629941/584076860bf4638cc736845dd438/CleanShot%2B2024-11-13%2Bat%2B12_11_20-402x.png?expires=1731519900&signature=d130fc3fc42d9fbf073683439ac0f588d15893e3eb71546b1e74eeeecc140159&req=dSIiFs98lIhbWPMW1HO4za2x9x1u03ShBYpdC3pFvClu3aWKEvBH%2BX9%2BlyRU%0AQn12%0A You should then select "Turn off table" to stop the table from auto-updating. Let me know if this solves your issue!
