What is the process for Claygent being able to load a linkedin profile? I'm getting mixed hits, sometimes it loads, sometime it doesn't
For Claygent to successfully load profiles, you need a profile URL as the main requirement. [1]
The inconsistent loading you're experiencing could be due to:
• Missing required data - Make sure you have the profile URL mapped correctly in the "URL" input field [2]
• URL format issues - Ensure you're using direct profile URLs, not saved lists or search URLs
• Optional context missing - While not required, having first/last name and company info as fallback can improve reliability
Best practice: Start with 10 rows to test your setup before scaling up, and make sure your profile URLs are properly formatted direct links.
Is that what you were looking for?
i have all their linkedin URLs
Perfect! Since you already have the profile URLs, here's how to set up Claygent properly:
Add Claygent column - Click "Add column" then select "Claygent"
Map your URL field - In the input section, map your profile URL column to the "URL" field
Test with 10 rows first - Start small to verify everything works before scaling up
The key is making sure your profile URLs are direct profile links (not saved searches or lists). Since you mentioned inconsistent results, double-check that all URLs follow the standard format. [1]
What specific data are you trying to extract from the profiles?
yes but sometimes it doesn't load. I have to rerun then it loads
This is normal behavior with Claygent - sometimes profiles don't load on the first attempt and need to be rerun. [1]
Since you have the profile URLs mapped correctly, the intermittent loading is likely due to external factors like rate limits or temporary access issues with the profiles themselves.
Best practice is to start with 10 rows to test, then scale up once you confirm the setup works. [2] When you hit those occasional failures, just rerun those specific rows and they should load successfully.

If you still need help with the intermittent loading issue, I’m here to assist further. Would you like to provide more details about what you’re trying to resolve or understand?
Hey John T. - I wouldn't try to use Claygent to scrape information from a personal LinkedIn profile. As you experienced, it will be very inconsistent because some profiles won't be public. You can use Clay’s enrich profile feature to get the structured & enriched data and then in another column, you can use AI to use it however you want (write campaigns, segment data further etc)
You're absolutely right! For profile data, our "Enrich Person from Profile" feature is much more reliable than Claygent.
Just provide the profile URL and it retrieves comprehensive structured data - work history, contact info, etc. Then you can use AI in separate columns to analyze that enriched data for campaigns or segmentation.
This approach gives you consistent, structured data instead of the hit-or-miss scraping results you were experiencing. [1]

If you still need additional help with Claygent or the Enrich Person from Profile feature, I’m here to assist. Would you like to share more about the specific issues or goals you have with loading or using profile data?
Yes, our "Enrich Person" feature does consume credits. The exact cost depends on which data provider you use:
• Datagma: 2 credits per enriched cell [1]
• RocketReach: 3 credits per enriched cell [2]
• Snov.io: 2 credits per enriched cell [3]
But you get much more reliable, structured data compared to the inconsistent Claygent scraping you were experiencing before.
