How to dedupe based on multiple columns? Because duplication is not determined with only one column. Eg Company Name, job title, job posted Same company name might have a different job title and job posted. So I cant dedupe based on Company Name only.
To dedupe data based on multiple columns in Clay, you'll need to use a combination of methods: 1. For single column deduplication: • Click the column header you want to dedupe • Select 'Dedupe' from the dropdown menu • Confirm and select 'Delete' to remove duplicates 2. For multi-column deduplication: • Use the Auto-dedupe feature: i. Click the Auto-dedupe icon at the bottom right of your table ii. Select 'Enable automatic deduplication' iii. Choose the columns you want to dedupe iv. Click 'Save Changes' Remember, deduplication is case-sensitive and considers exact string matches, including whitespace. If you need further assistance, you can request human help by clicking on 'Talk to a person' in the chat.
I only see 1 column. So what you are saying is incorrect
Hi Sunny, Thank you for reaching out to the support team! Unfortunately, as of yet there is not a direct way to deduplicate by multiple columns, but I have recorded a loom showing a simple workaround. https://www.loom.com/share/c59d8bb70789427aad89a5d90a52b453 Please let me know if you have any further questions or if I have misunderstood any part of your question!
