Claygent Outputs: Case Sensitivity for Custom Variables in Smartlead

Are claygent outputs not case sensitive? I want the outputs in lowercase as they're going to be inputed as custom variables in smartlead directly into the sequence, so need them to be lowercase as they will be contained within a sentence.
