Hi I am trying to create a button in SFDC to act as a trigger for this Clay table I built - https://app.clay.com/workspaces/290125/tables/t_dm7FNWxBxuuD/views/gv_8Gybc6tYxmpv Need help on how to go about doing this-
To add a button in Salesforce that triggers actions in your Clay table, here's how to set it up: 1. In Salesforce: β’ Click the gear button in the top right corner β’ Select "Set up for current app" β’ Go to "Object Manager" β’ Select the object where you want the button (e.g., Accounts, Contacts, Leads) β’ Click on "Page Layouts" β’ Choose the layout you want to modify 2. Add the button: β’ Locate the "Mobile and Lightning Actions" section at the top β’ Drag "Launch Enrichment" to the "Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Actions" sectionFor real-time data synchronization between Salesforce and Clay, you'll need to: ** Create a custom workflow ** Implement Apex code to connect your table via webhook * Configure the webhook to trigger your desired Clay table actions Source: Salesforce integration overview | Documentation | Clay University
Is that what you were looking for?
So some Apex code is needed for this to be possible ?
There are two different approaches for creating Salesforce buttons that interact with Clay: 1. For the Enterprise Salesforce Package: You can add a button without Apex code by: β’ Going to Object Manager in Salesforce setup β’ Selecting your desired object (Accounts, Contacts, Leads) β’ Going to Page Layouts β’ Dragging the "Launch Enrichment" button to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Actions section 2. For Webhook Integration: If you need real-time data synchronization between Salesforce and Clay, then yes, Apex code is required. You'll need to: β’ Create a custom workflow β’ Implement Apex code β’ Configure the webhook connectionWe recommend using webhooks with Apex code only if real-time data updates are essential for your CRM processes. But I would like this button to connect to a specific table in Clay how do I do that without apex coding ?
Based on the available information, if you want to connect a Salesforce button to a specific Clay table without Apex coding, you'll need to use the Enterprise Salesforce Package feature. Here's how to set it up: 1. Click the gear button in the top right corner of Salesforce 2. Select "Set up for current app" 3. Go to Object Manager 4. Click on the object where you want the button (Accounts, Contacts, Leads, etc.) 5. Select "Page Layouts" 6. Select your desired layout 7. In the Mobile and Lightning Actions section at the top, drag "Launch Enrichment" to the "Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Actions" sectionOnce set up, you'll see the button on your selected object pages, which will automatically push records to your Clay table.Note: This feature is specifically part of the Enterprise Salesforce Package. If you need real-time data synchronization, that would require a different setup using webhooks and Apex code. Source: Salesforce integration overview | Documentation | Clay University

I've read through the suggested steps and I do have the Enterprise for SFDC but I need clarity on how that added button is linked to the Clay table above
Hey there Allister thanks for reaching out, to clarify if a table was created using the Salesforce button inside of your Salesforce workspace, then a source column would have been added to the Clay table to show the data came from Salesforce. Taking a look at the above table it does not look like it was created from this action
That is correct it was not created from this action How would I go about creating a table using the SFDC button then ?
Hey there Allister, let me check to see if I can find the instruction for this, since the AI did not have all the necessary data.
Thanks this is the missing piece
