Clay team - I'm running into a scenario where I'm seeing a number of duplicate rows on a find people search. Would you mind taking a look?
I opted to add a couple of waterfalls, so I'm not sure how many dupes there are or what this will do for credits... ๐
Looks like the same issue applies to this table as well: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/10648/tables/t_994fhIw1Iud8/views/gv_fjvPcHR2mCtY
Hey there Andrew sorry for the delay taking a look.
No worries. Thanks!
So if you want to remove duplicates what you can do is click on the LinkedIn URL column header and menu will pop up. There will be an option called "Dedupe" this will remove any duplicate profiles.
Is there a way to prevent duplicates from being imported in the first place?
Hey Andrew! I see you're in a grandfathered plan but maybe we can help out here. Of course, most of the new features get auto-enabled with the active plans so perhaps that's why you didn't see it here, where you can now exclude lists from searches.
Took a quick look and seems like you do have it though, so that would be the feature to use to prevent adding duplicates to an existing table.
I'm referring to preventing duplicates on the find people action within the same table (not between tables. Is this a bug that the same linkedin profiles are pulled in in duplicate within the same find people action in the same table?
Got it! Yes, there are some edge cases where a profile was either scraped twice for some reason or the person had two profiles but the provider still added them.
