Hey there, I'm creating an email campaign targeted at finance leaders. I want to automatically name-drop the CEO (Business owner, President) of the company in that email. Is this possible with Clay? Is there a formula that can get me the company's CEO?
Hey hey! Can you drop the URL for your table here? (if applicable) ๐ซถ Don't worry, only admins will be able to open your table ๐
Hey!! thanks for reaching out!
Do you already have a table built out or that's what you're looking to do? The getting started video shows how to Find People in an efficient way if it helps ( a couple of minutes in) -https://www.clay.com/learn/getting-started-with-clay
Thanks seen something, let me try this out
Having issues with the search. Here is my table https://app.clay.com/workspaces/134742/tables/t_K5zyeD5QxPK4/views/gv_SvXn6Cvf2Sf0 Talk a look at Row 4 for Company name Abdera therapeautics. That company has a President and CEO but she doesn't come up on the search
Thanks! I'll take a look
This is likely because our LinkedIn integrations don't use your active session or cookies to find data on linkedin.com. The tradeoff is that it could miss a few people here and there, especially if these people have privacy restrictions in their profile, meaning that you need to be logged into an account to see the full profile. We're continuously working on these tools to improve coverage though!
The way we test to see if that's the case is by trying to open the profile in an incognito tab without logging in, which are the profiles the tools tend to miss. We'll look into the improvements though
If you need to extract every person you found for that list, you can use our Write to table integration to extract those results into their own rows in a new table, here's a quick video: https://www.loom.com/share/841cc9c009194f1688bbd134b3e4f388
Yeah thanks for sharing the video. I get the limit with LinkedIn privacy restrictions. I wonder if there's a way to get around it. Maybe by exporting all the contacts in CSV and then Clay can better match the titles with the first names.
Yeah! There are so many tools out there nowadays that could probably achieve this and still being compliant, the team is always looking for some. Some people do use Phantombuster or similar capable scrapers to download a list generated directly in LinkedIn but other than those not sure if there's a CRM that does that already.
