Hi team, I'm trying to find out if a company is running facebook ads by making claygent scrape the facebook transparency profile but it returns wrong results. I change the model and the prompt and still the same thing happens I guess it's because of the popup that appears on facebook to log in, it may be that this is blocking the Claygent, any way to fix it? If or if it is necessary to pay another tool like Apify or Adyntel?
you can use the following Boolean search query in claygent: site:facebook.com/ads/library "Company Name" Replace "Company Name" with the exact name of the company you're looking for. This search query will narrow down the results to pages within the Facebook Ad Library that mention the specific company. Then further run a Claygent on the library page as per your requirements. Hi Ramiro, thanks for reaching out. Do you mind sending the link to the table so we can take a look? https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1171717996/ac7729f84b426e1d0358af02/image.png?expires=1730745900&signature=065176a336c1cc08b2aa016d6ef6a832e9e1c1af2b0659b8e8a8b6c3fc4ff630&req=dSEgF85%2FmohWX%2FMW1HO4zYTywSv7ApIf2BKsam%2FhVPuBcQ%3D%3D%0A
Sure
I just attempted to set this up with a prompt, but due to the presence of multiple dropdowns and dynamic actions involved in the scraping process, this approach doesn't seem viable. I suggest using an Apify actor for this action instead. Apify integrates with Clay, so you'll be able to build tables based on Apify actor runs, or trigger actor runs at strategic points in your workflow. Here's how you can set up a Clay table from an Apify actor run: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1136960340/97e4e0aa1500879dbbe57ea0/CleanShot+2024-08-06+at+15_48_57.gif?expires=1730746800&signature=9d9c19cc4cda79f9c0ddb1d92a39a4f55d1849e2eaa523d57d6afe1a292544c0&req=dSEkEMB4nYJbWfMW1HO4zejWawja7nEPAut9xPamiwAamQ%3D%3D%0A And here's how you can trigger an Apify actor in an active workflow: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1137852576/18ba4740bed56137b073908c/CleanShot+2024-08-07+at+11_15_01.gif?expires=1730746800&signature=ca989128361b8d89c177cb00b689dd3d530e47a2a577733f7902225394e5854a&req=dSEkEcF7n4RYX%2FMW1HO4ze%2BfS2msS%2FGe98ZbnAjuOC83Mg%3D%3D%0A For the trigger-based approach you'll likely have to study the documentation of the specific actor, to see what JSON payload it expects to trigger the run. I found this actor which will get the job done for you: https://apify.com/apify/facebook-ads-scraper The only input you need to find first it the companies facebook page's url and the actor will be able to tell you the ads that the company is running on facebook. I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!
