Can Multiple Users Collaborate in the Same Clay Table?

Hi Clay team. Can multiple users be in the same clay table at the same time? Or is it recommended the reps have their own tables etc?

Multiple users can work in the same Clay table simultaneously. Users with appropriate workspace permissions can edit workspace resources, including tables. However, be aware that performance may be affected when: ** Tables are large ** Multiple actions are running simultaneously * There are complex workflows with linked tables These factors can cause latency issues where cell data takes longer to load.

So if one user starts filtering, will it also affect the other user?

No, when one user applies filters to a Clay table, it only affects their own view. Filtered views are specific to each user's session, and clearing your cache or refreshing your screen can reset these filters. This means multiple users can work with different filtered views of the same table simultaneously without interfering with each other's work.

If you're seeing your colleague's filters affecting your view, this is likely a temporary front-end performance issue. To resolve this, try clearing your cache and refreshing your screen - this should restore your individual view of the table.

This appears to be a short-term front-end performance issue. To resolve this and restore your individual view of the table: 1. Clear your browser cache 2. Refresh your screen These steps should help separate your view from your colleague's filters and activities.

Hi Max, thanks for reaching out. It’s possible that both of you are working on the same table and seeing each other’s updates. Any changes made by someone with access will be reflected for all users who can view the table. Let me know if this clarifies things.

Hey again, Stefano! So does that mean its not advisable for reps to be using the same table? I mean, what if they are both using filters at the same time etc?

If you are both using filters and wish the filters to only reflect on one of the user's ends, you can use "Views". To create your own view, apply the filters to display only the companies you're interested in. Once you've found the ones you want, click the arrow next to "Default View" and select "Duplicate View." The buttons are located below.

Once you've created a new view, double-click on "Copy of Duplicate View" at the top to rename it. In the example below, I've changed the name to "Renamed View."
