Hey team pretty sure this is doable but wanted to double check, with Hubspot integration, given view permission, can Clay go into Hubspot instance and check to see account level activities? Such as if a company is a current customer
Yes, you can check company information in HubSpot through Clay's integration. Our HubSpot integration allows you to: 1. Look up companies in your HubSpot CRM using either: • Company domain • HubSpot Company ID 2. Access various company data through several supported actions: • Lookup company • Lookup object • Retrieve associated objects • Import company dataTo use these features, your HubSpot account needs read access to: ** Companies ** Contacts ** Deals ** Any custom objects you want to check Sources: Lookup Company with HubSpot Hubspot integration overview | Documentation | Clay University HubSpot x Clay integration | Clay.com

Andi D. Clay can see if a company is a customer by looking at the property you use to track on the company record. however, I don't believe Clay's native integration can look at account level activities, which are different than properties. If you want to track activities in Clay, you'd need a workflow that updates a property in HubSpot when an activity occurs, and then Clay can read the property value.
Based on our HubSpot integration capabilities, Clay can only read and interact with object properties and fields in HubSpot, not account-level activities directly. Our integration supports: • Looking up objects (companies, contacts, deals)• Reading object properties• Creating and updating objects• Creating associations between objects• Retrieving associated objectsTo track activities in Clay, you would need to set up a workflow in HubSpot that updates a property when an activity occurs. Clay can then read this property value through our standard object lookup and property reading capabilities. Source: Hubspot integration overview | Documentation | Clay University

With “view” permission only
Clay has a native hubspot integration that should work for this
There seems to be a misunderstanding - HubSpot has not discontinued their API operations. You can connect to your client's HubSpot instance through Clay by following these steps: 1. Navigate to the Source panel in Clay by either: • Creating a new table and searching for "HubSpot" • Or selecting "Actions > Import" in an existing table 2. Select the HubSpot account you want to connect 3. Make sure to enable the "Read-Only Properties" option since you only have view permissions. This ensures you can access data you have permission to view.Note: Our native HubSpot integration is only available on Pro usage plans. If you're on an Explorer Plan, you can still integrate with HubSpot's REST API using Clay's HTTP API and Webhook table features. Source: Hubspot integration overview | Documentation | Clay University

Name your HubSpot "Key" (account name) and optionally set it as defaultWhen importing data with view-only permissions: ** Navigate to the Source panel (either when creating a new table or through Actions > Import in an existing table) ** Select your connected HubSpot account * Make sure to enable the "Read-Only Properties" option - this ensures you can access data you have permission to viewNote: Our native HubSpot integration requires a Pro usage plan. If you're on an Explorer Plan, you'll need to use HubSpot's REST API with Clay's HTTP API and Webhook table features instead. Like my client doesn’t want me to edit their Hubspot records. I only need to view certain records such as company status/lead status to make sure I’m not contacting their existing customers

Hey team, is there a way to limit Clay/Hubspot access to view only? To lookup records in Hubspot
On Clay account level not just table
Hey! While there's no direct "view-only" option in Clay, you can: 1. Set up read-only permissions in HubSpot first 2. Check and/or ask to download the data via CSV 3. Upload in Clay and then do the lookup against that data. This ensures you won't be making changes. Let me know if you need help with the setup!
